As trustees have overall responsibility for how their charity is run it is essential that they understand charity accounts. Charity accounts can be very complicated even for small charities.
The seminar will explain the basics of charity accounts and will cover:
• What types of accounts charities can prepare
• What needs to be included in the Annual Trustees Report
• The Statement of Financial Activities (SOFA) and the Balance Sheet
• The different types of reserves that charities hold
This seminar is aimed at trustees or charity staff with little or no accounts knowledge.
