Date: 16 February 2011
Time: 8.30am
Get up-to-date with the latest developments affecting you and your business at our free hospitality seminar, presentations will be given from tax and industry sector specialists, and will look at the following areas:
- An introduction to troncs – Do your customers pay tips, gratuities or service charges? If so you need to know about tronc schemes. Ensure you comply fully with all your tax obligations and reward your staff in the most tax efficient way possible
- National Minimum Wage – you may believe you pay NMW, but can you prove it? Hospitality businesses where staff work flexible hours are vulnerable to inadvertent breaches of Minimum Wage and mistaken or malicious claims. If you can’t prove an allegation wrong or the exact hours worked you could face a hefty bill, a 50% penalty, and public “naming and shaming”.
- Can’t afford to pay more? Then pay smarter. The current economic climate makes it difficult to increase the amount you pay staff. But by paying smarter, you can increase the value of your employee’s earnings and save money yourself.
- Tax Relief for Refurbishment of your premises? Do you want to get tax relief as soon as possible for major expenditure programmes for your bar, restaurant or hotel? We’ll examine the landscape for maximising claims including the impact of the recent Wetherspoon case.
If you are in the hospitality sector then attendance at this event is a must, as our experts will be giving an update on areas that will have a direct impact on you and your business. We do therefore hope you can join us.
