The Tax Club is a specialist forum aimed at small sole practice accountants, solicitors, bankers, IFA’s and finance directors without specialist tax teams wanting to stay up to date with current tax issues. It focuses on the one area that’s nearly always on a client’s mind – Tax.  We recognise the time and energy required to keep up with issues that may impact on our own area of expertise so we try to help ease the burden of tax for you.

Each meeting lasts for approximately 90 minutes, at which our specialist Tax Advisers review the latest developments in Tax Legislation; full handouts are available whether members attend the meeting or not; and time is allotted afterwards for networking with colleagues.  As a Tax Club member you will be free to use this information as you see fit, for instance in your dealings with your own clients. Tax Club meetings are also eligible for Law Society CPD points.

There is an annual fee of £50 + VAT for membership to our Tax Club. The membership includes:

• Membership for your entire firm, meaning the attendance of more than one person is included in the annual cost
• Quarterly meetings, in which up to date information and handouts are provided
• Tax Club Materials sent to you if you are unable to attend
• The opportunity to network with other professionals

Objectives

• Providing briefing and training sessions on issues that matter to individuals and owner-managed businesses on tax, finance, business and new legislation.
• Networking with follow professional business advisers and intermediaries.
• Enabling members to stay abreast of the latest tax related developments that may affect their own clients, by alerting them to relevant topics of interest, researched and highlighted by WMT specialists.

• Capital allowances
• VAT
• Inheritance tax
• Capital gains tax
• Corporate legislation
